Berkeley Control, Intelligent Systems, and Robotics (CIR) at EECS focuses on modeling systems and machines to ensure appropriate responses to inputs, utilizing optimization and mathematical techniques. Research spans semiconductor process control, hybrid and networked control, nonlinear and learning control, and involves collaboration with Mechanical Engineering and Integrative Biology. The robotics research covers mobile autonomous systems, human augmentation, telepresence, and virtual reality, with an emphasis on image understanding and computer vision.[1]
