Isaac Sim is a simulator from NVIDIA connect with the Omniverse platform. The core physics engine underlying Isaac Sim is PhysX

Doing Simple Operations

Start Isaac Sim

  • Open Omniverse Launcher
  • Navigate to the Library
  • Under “Apps” click “Isaac Sim”
  • Click “Launch”
    • There are multiple options for launching. Choose the normal one to show the GUI or headless if streaming.
  • Choose File > Open... and select the .usd model corresponding to the robot you want to simulate.

Connecting streaming client

  • Start Isaac Sim in Headless (Native) mode
  • Open Omniverse Streaming Client
  • Connect to the server
