DYNAMIXEL is a line of smart actuators developed by the Korean robotics company Robotis. DYNAMIXEL servos are widely used in robotics for their integrated design, which combines motor, gearbox, controller, and networking capabilities.[1]

Features[edit]

  • Integrated Design: Combines motor, reduction gear, controller, and network functionality.
  • Daisy-Chain Networking: Multiple units can be connected in series for simplified wiring.
  • Programmable: Supports various control modes and parameters.
  • Feedback: Provides real-time feedback on position, speed, load, voltage, and temperature.

Product Lines[edit]

  • AX Series: Entry-level actuators for education and hobbyists.
  • MX Series: Mid-level actuators with improved precision and control.
  • X-Series: Advanced actuators with high performance and reliability.
  • Pro Series: Professional-grade actuators for industrial applications.

Applications[edit]

DYNAMIXEL servos are used in humanoid robots, robotic arms, animatronics, and research projects.[2]
